MEAL PLAN WITH RECIPE LINKS – 02/11 – 02/17/23
You can hear the audio version of this meal plan on my podcast at Lola’s Frugal Life Podcast, on Apple Podcast, and on many other platforms!
Welcome to my weekly meal plan! Each week I like to share the meal plan that I will be using for my family for the upcoming week. I do this because I think that having a meal plan is really important for many reasons. Some of those reasons include saving money, wasting less food, and having less stress when it comes time to figure out “what’s for dinner?”! I try to stick with a meal plan that is simple to make things a little easier during our busy weeks. I hope this can help you with some ideas of what you might want to make this week.
- Saturday – 02/11/23
- We will be dining out for a family birthday, so no cooking for me tonight!
- Sunday – 02/12/23
- Today is the Superbowl. So, I will be making a bunch of snack foods that we will pick on throughout the day. I will be making Buffalo Chicken Meatballs, Skinny Crescent Jalepeno Poppers, Pizza Pinwheels, Super Bowl Stromboli, Avocado-Mango Salsa, and Frank’s RedHot Original Buffalo Chicken Wings.
- Monday – 02/13/23
- Tonight we will be having hamburgers for dinner. I make these every other week. This is one of those that I don’t have a real recipe to share with you. I just make them very simply by making patties with ground beef. Sometimes I’ll throw a little bit of McCormick hamburger seasoning on them. I will also be making a can of pork and beans, and Oven Fresh Seasoned Potato Wedges.
- Tuesday – 02/14/23
- Every Tuesday, we do some type of Mexican theme meal. Tonight we are going to do Cheesy Chicken Nachos!
- Wednesday – 02/15/23
- On Wednesdays we usually do seafood. Tonight we will be having salmon, which has become a regular in our rotation now that I found this really easy way to cook it that comes out delicious! I use individually frozen pieces of salmon from BJs. Then I brush them with olive oil and sprinkle some McCormick Smokehouse Maple seasoning on them. Then bake at 450 for 10 to 12 minutes. I will be serving some egg noodles tossed with butter and olive oil. We will also have some frozen vegetables with this meal.
- Thursday – 02/16/23
- Thursday we usually do some type of soup and grilled cheese, or breakfast for dinner. Tonight we will be having some Sausage Tortellini Soup!
- Friday – 02/17/23
- Tonight we will be having fried chicken cutlets. I just slice the chicken thin, dip in egg and breadcrumb, and fry it up in a frying pan. As a side, I will be making Cauliflower au Gratin and frozen vegetables.
