MEAL PLAN WITH RECIPE LINKS – 09/14 – 09/20/24

free weekly meal plan

You can hear the audio version of this meal plan on my podcast at Lola’s Frugal Life Podcast, on Apple Podcast, and on many other platforms!

Welcome to my weekly meal plan! Each week I like to share the meal plan that I will be using for my family for the upcoming week. I do this because I think that having a meal plan is really important for many reasons. Some of those reasons include saving money, wasting less food, and having less stress when it comes time to figure out “what’s for dinner?”! I try to stick with a meal plan that is simple to make things a little easier during our busy weeks. I hope this can help you with some ideas of what you might want to make this week.

  • Saturday – 09/14/24
    • Today we will be making Chef John’s Meatballs and Baked Ziti to complete the meal!
  • Sunday – 09/15/24
    • Tonight we will be making one of my favorite baked chicken recipes. I will be making Oven-Baked Chicken. I usually make this with bone-in chicken thighs, but it comes out great with legs too! For side dishes, I will be making Chef John’s Mashed Potatoes and some frozen vegetables.
  • Monday – 09/16/24
    • For tonight I will be making turkey meatloaf. The recipe I have been making since my kids were little is the JENNIE-Os Best Ever Meatloaf. For side dishes, I will be making some boxed shells and cheese and some frozen vegetables.
  • Tuesday – 09/17/24
    • Every Tuesday, we do some type of Mexican theme meal. Tonight we are going to do Taco Tuesday! I don’t have a recipe the share for the tacos, but I can tell you how I serve them. For the meat, I cook up some ground beef and season it with seasoned salt and chili powder. Then I serve with hard taco shells, soft taco shells, shredded cheddar, avocados, sour cream, and taco sauce.
