MEAL PLAN WITH RECIPE LINKS – 06/04 – 06/10/22
You can hear the audio version of this meal plan on my podcast at Lola’s Frugal Life Podcast, on Apple Podcast, and on many other platforms!
Welcome to my weekly meal plan! Each week I like to share the meal plan that I will be using for my family for the upcoming week. I do this because I think that having a meal plan is really important for many reasons. Some of those reasons include saving money, wasting less food, and having less stress when it comes time to figure out “what’s for dinner?”! I try to stick with a meal plan that is simple to make things a little easier during our busy weeks. I hope that this can help you with some ideas of what you might want to make this week.
- Saturday -06/04/22
- Tonight we will be making Parmesan Crusted Pork Chops. I will be serving these with Chile Rice Casserole and Crispy Air Fried Sweet Potato Wedges.
- Sunday – 06/05/22
- Today we will be having Air Fryer Whole Chicken! This comes out very similar to the rotisserie-style chickens that you can purchase at the grocery store. As a side, I am making Rainbow Rotini Salad.
- Monday – 06/06/22
- Tonight will be hamburger night which I do every other Monday. For my daughter that doesn’t eat regular hamburgers, I will be making some Best-Ever Turkey Burgers. I will be serving this with a can of pork and beans and Oven Fresh Seasoned Potato Wedges.
- Tuesday – 06/07/22
- Every Tuesday, we do some type of Mexican theme meal. Tonight we are going to do Taco Tuesday! I don’t have a recipe the share for the tacos, but I can tell you how I serve them. For the meat, I cook up some ground turkey and season it with seasoned salt and chili powder. Then I serve with hard taco shells, soft taco shells, shredded cheddar, avocados, sour cream, and taco sauce.
- Wednesday – 06/08/22
- On Wednesdays we usually do seafood. Tonight we will be having salmon, which has become a regular in our rotation now that I found this really easy way to cook it that comes out delicious! I use the individually frozen pieces of salmon from BJs. Then I brush them with olive oil and sprinkle some McCormick Smokehouse Maple seasoning on them. Then bake at 450 for 10 to 12 minutes. I will be serving some egg noodles tossed with butter and olive oil. We will also have some frozen vegetables with this meal.
- Thursday – 06/09/22
- Thursday we usually do some type of soup and grilled cheese, or breakfast for dinner. This is the night that I go food shopping, so I don’t want to spend a lot of time cooking. Tonight we will be a soup night and we are having Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup. If you have an instant pot, this is a really simple soup to make and it’s one of my favorites. I will be serving this with grilled cheese sandwiches.
- Friday – 06/10/22
- Today we will be keeping it easy with a crockpot meal with a quick oven-baked dish at dinner time. In the crockpot, I will be making Sausage and Peppers for a Dozen. When it comes time for dinner I will quickly throw together some Easy Ravioli Bake.
