MEAL PLAN WITH RECIPE LINKS – 01/14 – 01/21/23
You can hear the audio version of this meal plan on my podcast at Lola’s Frugal Life Podcast, on Apple Podcast, and on many other platforms!
Welcome to my weekly meal plan! Each week I like to share the meal plan that I will be using for my family for the upcoming week. I do this because I think that having a meal plan is really important for many reasons. Some of those reasons include saving money, wasting less food, and having less stress when it comes time to figure out “what’s for dinner?”! I try to stick with a meal plan that is simple to make things a little easier during our busy weeks. I hope this can help you with some ideas of what you might want to make this week.
- Saturday – 01/14/23
- Tonight we will be having French Dip Sandwiches. I don’t have a link for this recipe. However, all you have to do is put all of the following ingredients into your crockpot and cook on low all day: 3 pounds chuck roast, 1 envelope onion soup mix, 1 packet au jus gravy mix, and 1 14-ounce can of beef broth. When it’s done, serve with some rolls and swiss or provolone cheese! We will also be serving with a bagged salad.
- Sunday – 01/15/23
- Tonight we will be making Chef John’s Italian Meatballs with some Easy Ravioli Bake. I will also be making a bagged salad from the grocery store as a side dish!
- Monday – 01/16/23
- Tonight we will be having hamburgers for dinner. I make these every other week. This is one of those that I don’t have a real recipe to share with you. I just make them very simply by making patties with ground beef. Sometimes I’ll throw a little bit of McCormick hamburger seasoning on them. I will also be making a can of pork and beans, and Oven Fresh Seasoned Potato Wedges.
- Tuesday – 01/17/23
- Tonight is our Mexican theme meal night! We will be having Homemade Nachos with Ground Beef.
- Wednesday – 01/18/23
- On Wednesdays we usually do seafood. Tonight we will be having salmon, which has become a regular in our rotation now that I found this really easy way to cook it that comes out delicious! I use individually frozen pieces of salmon from BJs. Then I brush them with olive oil and sprinkle some McCormick Smokehouse Maple seasoning on them. Then bake at 450 for 10 to 12 minutes. I will be serving Sarah’s Rice Pilaf. We will also have some frozen vegetables with this meal.
- Thursday – 01/19/23
- We try to keep things really simple on Thursdays because this is the night that I go grocery shopping! Tonight we will be doing Stuffed Pepper Soup. We will be serving this with grilled cheese sandwiches.
- Friday – 01/20/23
- Today I will be making some Baked Teriyaki Chicken. This recipe does have a longer cooking time. So, just make sure you have some time to spare. For a side, we will be making Cheesy Instant Pot Rice and Vegetables.
