MEAL PLAN WITH RECIPE LINKS – 02/05 – 02/12/22

Welcome to my weekly meal plan! Each week I like to share the meal plan that I will be using for my family for the upcoming week. I do this because I think that having a meal plan is really important for many reasons. Some of those reasons include saving money, wasting less food, and having less stress when it comes time to figure out “what’s for dinner?”! I try to stick with a meal plan that is simple to make things a little easier during our busy weeks. I hope that this can help you with some ideas of what you might want to make this week.
- Saturday -02/05/22
- Tonight we will be tryinkg a new recipe. I will be making One Pot Creamy Pesto Chicken Pasta. It sounds like it would be a great one pot dish, so hopefully it will become a new regular!
- Sunday – 02/06/22
- Today we will be having Cheesy Crispy Chicken. I don’t have a recipe link for this one. To make it, you dip chicken in milk and bread with crushed ritz crackers. Place in a greased baking dish and top with shredded cheddar. Cover with foil and bake at 400 for 35 minutes. For sides, we will be having Mushroom Rice and some frozen vegetables. I usually keep a variety of microwavable vegetables on hand.
- Monday – 02/07/22
- Tonight we will be doing Rib Eye steak for dinner. I just marinate the steak with some McCormick Montreal Steak Seasoning, oil, and wine vinegar. Then throw it on the grill, or broil to your desired doneness. As a side dishs, I will be making Peas & Pasta.
- Tuesday – 02/08/22
- Every Tuesday, we do some type of Mexican theme. For tonight, I will be making Chicken Chimichangas with Sour Cream Sauce. I have never actually made the sauce that goes along with this recipe, I just short-cut it and serve sour cream on the side. We will also put out some salsa and avocado. I will also be making a bagged salad from the grocery store as a side dish!
- Wednesday – 02/09/22
- Wednesdays are usually seafood nights. Tonight we will be having fried flounder. I don’t have a recipe for the flounder. To make it, I just dip the flounder in egg and breadcrumbs and then fry them up. For a side dishes I will be making Easy Rice Bake Casserole.
- Thursday – 02/10/22
- Thursday’s we usually do some type of soup and grilled cheese, or breakfast for dinner. This is the night that I go food shopping, so I try to keep things simple. Tonight we will be having Easy Clam Chowder with some oyster crackers!
- Friday – 02/11/22
- Today is my daughter’s birthday! So, we will be ordering in food. So, no cooking for tonight!
