free weekly meal plan

You can hear the audio version of this meal plan on my podcast at Lola’s Frugal Life Podcast, on Apple Podcast, and on many other platforms!

Welcome to my weekly meal plan! Each week I like to share the meal plan that I will be using for my family for the upcoming week. I do this because I think that having a meal plan is really important for many reasons. Some of those reasons include saving money, wasting less food, and having less stress when it comes time to figure out “what’s for dinner?”! I try to stick with a meal plan that is simple to make things a little easier during our busy weeks. I hope this can help you with some ideas of what you might want to make this week.

  • Saturday – 06/08/24
    • Today I will be making Creamy Herbed Pork Chops. This is one of my favorite ways to make pork chops. Honestly, I have never made the “creamy part” of the recipe. I am sure it is good! But, I just love the pork chops seasoned with the Montreal Steak seasoning and browned in the butter. It comes out so good. I use bone-in pork chops. For a side dish, we will be having some macaroni salad.
  • Sunday – 06/09/24
  • Monday – 06/10/24
    • Tonight we will be having Kielbasa and Saurkraut. I just put the kielbasa on top of the sauerkraut in a dish and warm it up in the oven. It’s already cooked, so just needs to be heated. I will also be making some Instant Pot Lima Beans.
  • Tuesday – 06/11/24
    • Every Tuesday, we do some type of Mexican theme meal. Tonight we are going to do Cheesy Chicken Nachos!
  • Wednesday – 06/12/24
    • Wednesday is seafood night most weeks. This week we are having Easy Shrimp Scampi. When the shrimp is done, I serve it with some cooked spaghetti to make a nice shrimp pasta meal.
  • Thursday – 06/13/24
    • Thursday we usually do some type of soup and grilled cheese, or breakfast for dinner. This is the night that I go food shopping, so I try to keep things simple. Tonight we will be having breakfast for dinner. I will be making some Turkey Bacon in the Oven. Ever since I discovered making bacon in the oven, I don’t know if I will ever fry it again. It’s so much easier, and tastes great! I will also be making some scrambled eggs and home fries in the air fryer. For the home fries, I just dice up potatoes, peppers, and onions. Then, I toss them with some olive oil, salt, and pepper and just throw them in the air fryer. They could be roasted in the oven also!
