MEAL PLAN WITH RECIPE LINKS – 09/07 – 09/13/24

free weekly meal plan

You can hear the audio version of this meal plan on my podcast at Lola’s Frugal Life Podcast, on Apple Podcast, and on many other platforms!

Welcome to my weekly meal plan! Each week I like to share the meal plan that I will be using for my family for the upcoming week. I do this because I think that having a meal plan is really important for many reasons. Some of those reasons include saving money, wasting less food, and having less stress when it comes time to figure out “what’s for dinner?”! I try to stick with a meal plan that is simple to make things a little easier during our busy weeks. I hope this can help you with some ideas of what you might want to make this week.

  • Saturday – 09/07/24
    • Tonight we will be having Chicken, Sausage, Peppers, and Potatoes. This is nice because it all cooks in one roasting pan.
  • Sunday – 09/08/24
    • Tonight I will be making Marry Me Chicken. We will be serving this with white rice and some frozen vegetables.
  • Monday – 09/09/24
    • Tonight I will be making Quick Baked Chicken Parmesan. As the name states, it’s a quick chicken parmesan recipe with no frying. You just bread the chicken breast, bake it, then add the sauce and cheese and bake a little longer. It’s a pretty simple recipe. I will be serving spaghetti with jarred sauce as a side dish. You could also make chicken parmesan sandwiches with this!
  • Tuesday – 09/10/24
    • Every Tuesday, we do some type of Mexican theme meal. Tonight we are going to do Cheesy Chicken Nachos!
  • Wednesday – 09/11/24
    • Wednesday is seafood night most weeks. This week we are having Easy Shrimp Scampi. When the shrimp is done, I serve it with some cooked spaghetti to make a nice shrimp pasta meal.
  • Thursday – 09/12/24
    • Tonight we will have breakfast for dinner with some Baked Oatmeal with some breakfast sausage.
  • Friday – 09/13/24
    • Tonight we will be doing Rib Eye steak for dinner. I just marinate the steak with some McCormick Montreal Steak Seasoning, oil, and wine vinegar. Then throw it on the grill, or broil it to your desired doneness. Since we will have sides left over from yesterday, we will just use those! We will have some Cheesy Instant Pot Rice and Vegetables as a side.
