free weekly meal plan with recipes

You can hear the audio version of this meal plan on my podcast at Lola’s Frugal Life Podcast, on Apple Podcast, and on many other platforms!

Welcome to my weekly meal plan! Each week I like to share the meal plan that I will be using for my family for the upcoming week. I do this because I think that having a meal plan is really important for many reasons. Some of those reasons include saving money, wasting less food, and having less stress when it comes time to figure out “what’s for dinner?”! I try to stick with a meal plan that is simple to make things a little easier during our busy weeks. I hope this can help you with some ideas of what you might want to make this week.

  • Saturday – 11/18/23
    • Tonight we will be having Easy American Goulash. This is a quick easy meal to make after a busy day!
  • Sunday – 11/19/23

    • Every Tuesday, we do some type of Mexican theme. For tonight, I will be making Sheet Pan Chicken Fajitas. I serve this up with some flour tortillas and sour cream. This is a recipe I like making because it comes together so quickly.
  • Wednesday – 11/22/23
    • We usually rotate some type of seafood on Wednesdays. Tonight we will be having Creamy Tuscan Salmon Shrimp Pasta! If you would like to see my YouTube video of this recipe, click here!

    • This Thursday is Thanksgiving. In addition to turkey we will be making a ton of sides:
    • Best Green Bean Casserole

    • Classic Baked Macaroni and Cheese
    • Easy Holiday Stuffing – in crockpot place 1 cup butter, 1 tsp poultry seasoning, 1 tsp sage, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 3 tablespoons chicken bouillon granules, 2 eggs beaten, 2 cups water, 12 cups bread cubes. Cook in crockpot on low, about 6 hours
    • Creamy Cheesy Spinach – in crockpot place 2 pks frozen chopped spinach, 16 ounces small curd cottage cheese, 1/4 cup sliced butter, 1/2 pound american cheese, 3 eggs beaten, 1/4 cup flour, 1/8 tsp salt. Cook on low 4 to 5 hours.

    • .Tonight we will be doing Rib Eye steak for dinner. I just marinate the steak with some McCormick Montreal Steak Seasoning, oil, and wine vinegar. Then throw it on the grill, or broil it to your desired doneness. Since we will have sides left over from yesterday, we will just use those!
