MEAL PLAN WITH RECIPE LINKS – 11/20 – 11/26/21
You can hear the audio version of this meal plan on my podcast at Lola’s Frugal Life Podcast, on Apple Podcast, and many other platforms!
Welcome to my weekly meal plan! Each week I like to share the meal plan that I will be using for my family for the upcoming week. I do this because I think that having a meal plan is really important for many reasons. Some of those reasons include saving money, wasting less food, and having less stress when it comes time to figure out “what’s for dinner?”! I try to stick with a meal plan that is simple to make things a little easier during our busy weeks. I hope that this can help you with some ideas of what you might want to make this week.
- Saturday -11/20/21
- For tonight I will be making turkey meatloaf. The recipe I have been making since my kids were little is the JENNIE-Os Best Ever Meatloaf. As a side dish, I will be making boxed shells and cheese, and some Air Fryer Cauliflower and Broccoli.
- Sunday – 11/21/21
- Tonight we will be eating out, so no meal plan for tonight!
- Monday – 11/22/21
- Tonight we will be having hamburgers for dinner. I make these every other week. This is one of those that I don’t have a real recipe to share with you. I just make them very simply by making patties with ground beef. Sometimes I’ll throw a little bit of McCormick hamburger seasoning on them. For my one daughter that does not eat meat, I will be making some Impossible Burgers. I will also be making a can of pork and beans, and Oven Fresh Seasoned Potato Wedges.
- Tuesday – 11/23/21
- Every Tuesday, we do some type of Mexican theme. For tonight, I will be making Chicken Chimichangas with Sour Cream Sauce. I have never actually made the sauce that goes along with this recipe, I just short-cut it and serve sour cream on the side. We will also put out some salsa and avocado. I will also be making a bagged salad from the grocery store as a side dish.
- Wednesday – 11/24/21
- On Wednesdays we usually do seafood. Tonight we will be trying out a new shrimp recipe. I will be making Garlic Parmesan Baked Shrimp. For side dishes I will be cooking up some linguini with butter and a bag of some frozen vegetables.
- Thursday – 11/25/21
- This Thursday is Thanksgiving. In addition to turkey we will be making a ton of sides:
- Best Green Bean Casserole
- Parmesan-Butternut Squash Gratin
- Classic Baked Macaroni and Cheese
- Easy Holiday Stuffing – in crockpot place 1 cup butter, 1 tsp poultry seasoning, 1 tsp sage, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 3 tablespoons chicken bouillon granules, 2 eggs beaten, 2 cups water, 12 cups bread cubes. Cook in crockpot on low, about 6 hours
- Creamy Cheesy Spinach – in crockpot place 2 pks frozen chopped spinach, 16 ounces small curd cottage cheese, 1/4 cup sliced butter, 1/2 pound american cheese, 3 eggs beaten, 1/4 cup flour, 1/8 tsp salt. Cook on low 4 to 5 hours.
- Corn Casserole III
- Chef John’s Perfect Mashed Potatoes
- Instant Pot Pumkin Cheesecake
- This Thursday is Thanksgiving. In addition to turkey we will be making a ton of sides:
- Friday – 11/26/21
- In reality, we probably will be eating Thanksgiving leftovers. But I did plan, just in case to make Sausage and Peppers for a Dozen and Easy Ravioli Bake to complete the meal! We will see if I actually need to cook!
