MEAL PLAN WITH RECIPE LINKS – 07/03 – 07/09/21

Welcome to my weekly meal plan! Each week I like to share the meal plan that I will be using for my family for the upcoming week. I do this because I think that having a meal plan is really important for many reasons. Some of those reasons include saving money, wasting less food, and having less stress when it comes time to figure out “what’s for dinner?”! I try to stick with a meal plan that is simple to make things a little easier during our busy weeks. I hope that this can help you with some ideas of what you might want to make this week.

  • Sunday – 07/04/21
    • Happy 4th of July!! Today we will be keeping it easy again with another crockpot meal. I will be making Slower Cooker Potluck Spareribs. This will be the first time I am making this recipe. It sounds like it will be good! I will also be making One-Pot Penne alla Vodka as a side dish.
  • Monday – 07/05/21
    • Tonight will be hamburger night which I do every other Monday. For my pescatarian daughter, I will be making some Black Bean Veggie Burgers. I will be serving this with a can of pork and beans and Easy Oven-Roasted Potatoes. If the weather is too hot, I may end up just throwing the potatoes into the air fryer!
  • Tuesday – 07/06/21
    • Every Tuesday, we do some type of Mexican theme meal. Tonight we will be making Sheet Pan Shrimp Fajitas! I made this recipe for the first time a few weeks ago and we all really enjoyed it. So, it will be added to our Mexican theme meal rotation.
  • Wednesday – 07/07/21
    • Wednesdays are usually seafood nights. Tonight we will be having fried flounder. I don’t have a recipe for the flounder. To make it, I just dip the flounder in egg and breadcrumbs and then fry them up. I will be making Spinach with Garbanzo Beans as a side dish. For another side dish, I will be making a box of flavored rice, the Rice-a-Roni type that comes with the seasonings inlcuded.
  • Thursday – 07/08/21
    • Thursday’s we usually do some type of soup and grilled cheese, or breakfast for dinner. This is the night that I go food shopping, so I try to keep things simple. Tonight we will be having breakfast for dinner. I will be making some Turkey Bacon in the Oven. Ever since I discovered making bacon in the oven, I don’t know if I will ever fry it again. It’s so much easier, and tastes great! I will also be making some scrambled eggs and Hashbrown Casserole.
  • Friday – 07/09/21
    • Tonight I will be making Cheesy Crispy Chicken for our main dish. I don’t have a recipe link for this one, but it’s very simple to make. Just dip chicken in milk, and then into crushed ritz crackers. Place in a sprayed 9 x 13 baking dish and top with shredded cheddar. Cover with foil and bake in the oven at 400 degrees for 35 minutes. On the side, I will be making a Broccoli-Pasta Side dish.
